Illegal constructions on the New Morgah Road, Adiala Road, High Court Road and other areas in the jurisdiction of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) have gone unchecked, as the authority has only been sending notices to the owners of these buildings.
According to sources, some RDA officials admitted that they could not take practical action against these constructions due to political pressure.
Citizens said if RDA officials could not do their job due to political pressure, they should not receive salaries either.
