Police officials from the Sihala, Golra and Margalla police stations arrested 24 suspects during search operations in their areas, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. The operation was conducted in various localities including slum areas, Afghan settlements and buildings under construction. The suspects could not produce any documents to prove their identification. IGP Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yaseen Farooq have directed the police to expand the search operation in other areas of city and ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements. The purpose of these search operations is to ensure foolproof security in the federal capital, the IGP added.
