The police busted two gangs of dacoits and arrested eight of their members from various areas said a police spokesman on Tuesday. According to the spokesman, the police had busted two gangs called “Fauji” and “Chotta Don”, and recovered weapons and stolen items from their possession. City Police Officer Azhar Hameed Khokhar had formed special teams under the supervision of Taxila Circle Deputy Superintendent Raja Tafoor Akhtar to carry out raids, in the light of increasing criminal activity in the Taxila Circle. These teams carried out raids and managed to bust the two gangs and arrest their members. The teams rounded the “Fauji” gang and arrested its leader Muhammad Fauji, Ajmal Khan, Mirza Khan, Umar Zaman and Muhammad Khan. They recovered weapons, looted items including Rs 3,000, 9 mobile phones, four DVD players, a TV, two buffers, 8 head phones and other items.
