Kamran’s body needs to be exhumed: Sana

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah claimed that incomplete samples were sent to the forensic laboratory, and in order to get the correct samples, his body needed to be exhumed. Sanaullah further claims that federal institutions were creating hurdles in this regard. The Punjab law minister said forensic experts from the Punjab Forensic Laboratory wanted to take the samples themselves, but the departments under the federal government were not cooperating with them. Meanwhile, in response to a letter by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency, the Islamabad District Administration said the permission to exhume Kamran Faisal’s body would have to be given by Punjab chief secretary. Kamran Faisal, who was part of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team as an investigator to probe the Rental Power Projects (RPP) scam case, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room at the federal lodges. The Supreme Court has decided to hold a separate hearing over Kamran Faisal’s death. Although NAB Chairman Fasih Bokhari claimed that Kamran committed suicide, his family members maintain that he was murdered.
