Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood Ahmed on Tuesday said that the upcoming general elections were vital for Pakistan as they will determine the direction the country would take. Talking to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers at his chamber, he said that the objective of politics of the PML-N was revival of the economy, creation of employment and eradication of terrorism. He said education and health were top priorities of the government as education could help eradicate terrorism. “The government has provided free dialysis in government hospitals and new hospitals are also being established in the province,” he said. He urged MPAs to have a close contact with people and resolve their issues on their doorsteps.
