Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has said the circumstances in the country and the fate of the people can’t change unless the corrupt political culture and feudal system are eliminated.
He said this while talking to prominent defence analyst and intellectual Major (r) Amir on the telephone.
Hussain said the MQM wanted to end the corrupt political culture. Whenever the MQM tried to widen its struggle throughout the country, its path was impeded by elements in the establishment who wanted to maintain the status quo and who had close links with the corrupt feudal lords.
These elements tried to create the feud between Pakhtun-Mohajir, Sindhi-Mohajir, Punjabi-Mohajir, and Baloch-Mohajir in order to achieve their evil designs. These elements conspired and instigated violence and bloodshed in order to create disaffection in the public about the MQM.
Hussain said that Pakistan had already dismembered, and hence they must strive to save the remaining Pakistan by weeding out the corrupt political culture from the country. He asked when the feudal elements could come together to protect their vested interests, why the people of the poor and middle classes cannot join hands and become one family.
