Tauqir Sadiq, ex-chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), wanted in the mega Rs80 Billion corruption scandal, has been arrested in Dubai.
According to media reports, Sadiq has been taken under arrest in Dubai by special team of the CID headed by Rana Shahid. The team comprises two senior police officials and one official from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
According to reports, Sadiq is currently under the custody of CID team and the accused would soon be handed over to the Pakistan’s consulate in Dubai.
Moreover, negotiations over his deportation to Pakistan are currently underway with Dubai officials.
