PPP, coalition parties planning to rig general elections: Dr AQ Khan

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and its coalition parties were planning to rig the upcoming general elections, Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz Pakistan leader Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said on Monday.
While talking to Dr Danish Baloch and other leaders of the party via telephone, Khan urged people to struggle along with other political parties for a free and fair election.
He said corruption and the wrong policies of politicians had hollowed the foundations of Pakistan.
“I do not want any authority for myself and I am only fighting for the rights of the people. Pakistan is rapidly moving towards destruction but the rulers are not paying any heed to this but are concentrating on saving their own governments. The PPP and its allies have set new records of looting and plunder in the country in the name of democracy and conciliation,” he said,
He said the PPP was trying to get re-elected in the upcoming general elections and was making plans to rig the polls to achieve this goal.
He said the people of Pakistan should not trust the incumbent politicians anymore and should elect honest leaders this time.
“The upcoming general elections are the people’s last chance to reject corrupt politicians,” he said.
