Not involved in RPP case: Shaukat Tareen

Former finance minister Shaukat Tareen stated on Tuesday that he was being defamed by adding his name among the accused in the Rental Power Project (RPP) case.

Talking to media outside the Supreme Court, he said that he was not among the accused of RPP corruption case, rather one of those who made serious efforts for the eradication of corruption during his tenure.

Tareen stated that he was being defamed and has nothing to with the case.

Supreme Court of Pakistan has involved Tareen’s name for investigation in RPP case after its announcement of the arrest of Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
