The Lahore High Court on Monday declared Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) MPA, Khalid Mahmood Sargana disqualified from his post due to his fake degree. The disqualified candidate was elected from Jhang’s PP-78 constituency, and petitioners Anwar Khan and Zafar had filed a petition in this regard at the Lahore High Court (LHC). The petitioners alleged that Khalid Mahmood Sargana had managed to obtain a fake degree from the Punjab University for winning his constituency and hence should be declared as disqualified. The LHC judge Khalid Mahmood Khan was shown proof the Punjab University degree. After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge declared Sargana disqualified from his post as MPA.
