A man committed suicide after shooting to death his wife and five children in the city’s suburban area.
At least seven bodies were recovered from a house located in Chak-109 village of Jaranwala Road.
According to SSP Operations, the head of the family pointed a pistol towards his head and his death was caused by a gunshot injury. However, the cause of death of the other family members is still unknown.
The local villagers said they did not hear any gunshot sounds. Local people said they found the bodies, after they forced into the house in the morning when they did not find the door of the victim family open in the morning.
Police said the case seems to be suicidal in nature as the man took his life after killing his wife and children overnight. However, the bodies are being sent for post mortem to discover motives behind the killings.
