Leaders of Anjuman-e-Ettehad Bus Malikan Karachi Muhammad Ashraf Banglori, Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain and others demanded of the government to provide security to public transport in Karachi and pay compensation to transporters whose vehicles were burnt in riots. They said due to growing lawlessness it was highly risky to run public transport vehicles. They said during riots dozens of vehicles were torched by the lawbreakers. They asked the government to provide adequate protection to private transporters, besides compensation for their damaged vehicles.
