Federal minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Mian and PPP Punjab President Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said the decision by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to stage a sit-I nis a direct interference in provincial autonomy.
Addressing a press conference, he said the party that declared Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s sit-in unconstitutional, has itself brought a sit-in resolution, adding, “I hope the N-League will backtrack from its decision to stage a sit-in.”, he added.
He maintained that PML-N, demands the sacking of governors, which is ridiculous as the governor is not an executive authority rather the chief minister is and the governor will not have an executive authority even in the caretaker set-up.
The PPP Punjab president said the PML-N is not sincere with South Punjab or Bahawalpur and in contrast, the PPP is serious with the establishment of the province, adding it is very difficult for the people of Rajanpur to come to Lahore for resolution of their problems.
