MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar said that his party wanted the creation of South Punjab province before the next general elections. “Our party was the first to table a resolution in the National Assembly and the Senate seeking the formation of the new South Punjab province,” he said. Dr Sattar said the 20th Amendment Bill draft would be tabled in the National Assembly soon. “People of South Punjab want a separate province. A resolution in this regard has already been adopted by the Punjab Assembly,” he informed. He urged all political parties to set aside their petty difference and support the new province.
