Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday said that his party would participate in the upcoming general elections and field candidates from every single constituency in Punjab.

Addressing via telephone a joint meeting of MQM’s central executive and zonal committees in Lahore, and the Rabitta Committee, Altaf Hussain said MQM would continue its struggle for the formation of southern province in Punjab.

The MQM chief also called on the committees to restructure the party according to values of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier, Altaf Hussain demanded President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to redress the deprivations and injustices to the people by fulfilling the demand of new province.

  1. Yeah yeah we know, you got your deal from Zardari for not taking part in the long march with the dari wala bakra qadri.I'm curious to see how you will win in Punjab.

  2. MQM should remove this British national as its chief. They can not find in Pakistani to lead them. Did he get MQM in his inheritance?
Just like Zardari got this PPP in his inheritance. In the western countries it is the party which decides who will be candidate and the opposite.
Pakistani parties should be mature now.
