Three citizens have set camp outside the Islamabad Press Club claiming they are on a hunger strike against corruption in the government. The three protesters had begun their campaign on December 27 outside the Hyderabad Press Club, and had spent 21 days continuing their hunger strike in Hyderabad. They have demanded the removal of all corrupt people who have only been looting the country and its masses.
The strike is being led by Amman Ullah Khan, who said, “We have demanded the removal of corrupt officials from every government sector, especially the education department.” He added that ever Pakistani had been affected by corruption and every government official was a crook.
A fellow protester, Malik Maqsood Ahmed said, “We haven’t had anything to eat for the past 27 days, we only drink a cup of water or tea twice a day, and a cup of milk at night. We drink fluids because we want corruption to end, we don’t want to die.”
