Kamran Faisal death case: SC seeks CCTV footage

A two-member Supreme Court (SC) bench on Thursday sought CCTV footage of the Federal Lodges while hearing Kamran Faisal death case, a private TV channel reported.

The bench also directed PTA to submit records of Faisal’s mobile phone.

The bench issued notices to chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Inspector General (IG) Islamabad and Medical Superintendent (MS) Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

IG Islamabad told the court that First Information Report (FIR) could not be registered because there was no application in this regard.

On this, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain remarked that the police should register FIR when a crime is committed.

The hearing was adjourned till Jan 28.
