US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson met Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Munawar Hasan at his residence on Wednesday.
They exchanged views on matters of mutual interest including drone attacks, the imprisonment of Dr Afia Siddiqui and a statement released by the Indian home minister regarding Hindu terrorism.
Hasan said the US should review its 11 year long War on Terror and see whether terrorism had decreased or not.
He said the JI wanted good relations with the US, but Washington needed to review its policies towards Pakistan. He said the JI opposed American policies, not the country itself. He pointed out that American policies were framed in a way to favour Israel and India.
Hasan said the blood of Muslims was being spilled around the world including Kashmir, but the international community, under the leadership of the US, was continuing attacking Afghanistan, Iraq and tribal areas of Pakistan.
This is real problem with policies of America what Munawer Hassan told.
