A sessions court ordered dismissal of cases by government and Tehrik Minhajul Quran (TMQ) against each other in the wake of agreement reached to end TMQ followers’ sit-in near Parliament House in Islamabad.
Kohsar police station submitted a copy of “the Islamabad Declaration” in a bid to defend non-registration of First Information Report (FIR) against Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and other police officers.
The court ordered police to dismiss the cases registered against Qadri and his followers.
The final point of the declaration calls for withdrawal of cases against both parties of the agreement.
