LHC resumes Zardari contempt case hearing

The case filed against President Asif Ali Zardari for holding dual offices resumed on Tuesday at The Lahore High Court (LHC).
Wasim Sajjad, counsel for the federation maintained that the president was not completely immune and could be impeached if he had committed something against the law.
President Zardari was issued a notice on September 5th 2012, in which he was alleged to have not abided by the courts orders to resign from his political office. Hence, contempt charges were filed.
Despite their being a verdict against the use of a dual office, President Zardari still enjoys the benefit of both offices.

  2. Since the day PPP came into power and Zardari assumed the office of President, a vilifying campaign was launched against him that Zardari is product of some miracle or incident. The opponents refused to accept him a leader but they failed to answer what was the slogan of Pakistan Khappay if Zardari was not a leader, why this slogan worked as a miracle and Pakistan saved from disintegration. Why these elements failed to answer that if Zardari was not a leader, how 18th amendment was approved with consensus first time in the history of Pakistan. Why they failed to answer that several leaders in the history of Pakistan could not brought consensus on NFC award and established a coalition government in Pakistan if Zardari was not a leader. Why they become answerless about senate election by consensus without horse trading first time in the history of Pakistan, if Zardari is not a leader. Why the failed to answer that if Zardari was not a leader, who tackled the terrorism and decided to nip this evil with the bud. Infact Zardari is a genuine leader in the history of Pakistan who sustained and undergone through all these media trial and the conspiracies from other pillars and not-so-pillars of state and has combated the theatrics of non-state actors. He is thorn in the heart for the enemies of democracy and Pakistan and he is the balm for the democracy and the people who cherish it.
