A Station House Officer (SHO) along with two other cops were suspended when an accused allegedly died due to police torture in Manghopir Police Station on Sunday. Per details, police had arrested the accused named Khalid the previous night over suspicion that he was involved in an incident of theft. On Sunday, Khalid died in the above mentioned police station under mysterious circumstances. Later the heirs of the deceased and local people staged a demonstration in front of the police station and burnt tyres and junk on the streets. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) West Javed Odho while taking notice of the incident, suspended and demoted SHO Manghopir Nasir Mehmood and got arrested the other two policemen namely Anwar and Pervez, after filing a case against them.
