Police summons four NAB officials over Kamran’s suicide case

Police has summoned four NAB officials including deputy director Asghar Khan in Kamran Faisal suicide case.

Kamran Faisal was appointed over Guddu Barrage investigations in RPP (Rental Power Plant) issue, while his associates included data entry operator Momin Khan, Sohaib and naib qasid Najeeb; statements of all of them would be recorded on Monday, which would also include the stress factor faced by the deceased over possible pressure in case.

Investigations are also underway over data of mobile phone under use by Faisal Kamran, while police has held the entry of NAB officials’ into deceased’s room through windows as a fatal error, mistake.

No FIR has been filed as yet regarding the mysterious death of Kamran Faisal, as no one had contacted law enforcement authorities as yet regarding the issue; only a report has been lodged regarding his death in Thana secretariat.

AC, Thana secretariat Nauman Yousaf has been appointed as enquiry officer to probe the death of Faisal Kamran, who would be recording the statements of deceased’s close associates, hostel staff and NAB officials.

Spokesman Polyclinic hospital, Dr. Sharif Astori has initially termed the incident as a suicide, while there was a speck of any scratch on the body. Reports also indicated the cause of death as due to suffocation by throat, which was the only part of body bearing deep imprints of rope.

Sources have said that the 3-member doctors’ team has held its autopsy and sent all retrieved samples to Lahore for check-up; forensic report of which would be available within a week.
