Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf could not attend the Walima reception of his son at the Prime Minister’s House because of food poisoning, Pakistan Today has learnt.
Per details, Prime Minister Ashraf had fish for dinner on Thursday night and soon after fell ill. “The PM is suffering from high fever which is why he could not participate in the wedding reception of his son Shahrukh Ashraf Raja and Muneeba Fatima. He has also cancelled his trip to Karachi where he was scheduled to hold several important meetings,” said a source in the Prime Minister’s House.
He said that the reception was attended by several political leaders and foreign dignitaries but the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders were conspicuously missing from the event.
This s seems a peculiar food poisoning which only effected the PM. Ordinarily these infections afflict all those who consume infected food. On the other hand if it was food poisoning in the kitchens of PM house the hygiene standards in the kitchen need to be called into question.
In Pakistan every thing is peculiar! Every time there is a crisis the President flies to Dubai for medical investigations and now the PM who is supposed tb arrested has had a medical bulletin issued. I wish you speedy recovery. The country needs you because the Deputy PM does not know you are not well. He has not stepped in your shoes—they are a size too large.
