M M Alam road to be accessible by end of January

One of the main arteries of Lahore, MM Alam road which closed down for reconstruction in November 2012 is all set to open for commuters by the end of January.
Sources say that the Mammoth Rs441 million project will have dual carriage way spanning 22 feet along with 8 feet parking spaces on each side as well as a pedestrian pathway.
It is pertinent to mention that MM Alam road in the past has been repeatedly fixed but somehow manages to be reduced to one of the most troublesome roads in the city.
As the completion draws near, it will be an achievement if the Punjab government actually manages to permanently fix the stubborn road.
