The Mian Azher Memorial Bridge Tournament will commence at the bridge tables of Lahore Gymkhana from Saturday (today) and will be contested over two days with finals to be played on Sunday.
Events at stake are the Pairs event to be followed by the team event. This championship is open to bridge players from all over Punjab and besides ten teams from Lahore, three teams from Rawalpindi and one from Multan are expected to vie for honors and lucrative prizes.
Players of national standing like Saeed Akhter, Javed Akhter, Tahir Abbas, Shauq Hussain and Izzat Khalil will add color to this Azher Memorial Bridge Tournament which is to be conducted by Sarfraz Butt and Ihsan Qadir.
