The US Agency for International Development (USAID) on Wednesday organised a three-day national research seminar on academic writing and dissemination to provide academicians and researchers from leading universities of the country an opportunity to enhance their writing capabilities.
As part of the Teacher Education Project, the seminar enhanced participants’ writing skills to help leading academics present quality work at national and international conferences.
The Teacher Education Project is a five-year, 75 million dollar initiative to help Pakistan improve the quality of basic education through better-prepared teachers.
The Teacher Education Project works closely with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), provincial and regional departments of education, and teacher training institutions across the country to advance these goals. Through this project, USAID offers grants to help conduct education research and is currently working on 20 research projects with 20 research teams from 17 different universities and apex bodies.
