Governor Punjab Makhdum Syed Ahmad Mahmud on Wednesday expressed his contentment on the unification of major political parties on the single agenda of democracy. In a statement, the governor said that it was quite evident that all mainstream parties of the country were united on the fact that democracy in the country must be preserved. He further said that the people would not permit a handful of undemocratic forces to endanger the upcoming elections. The governor appealed to the people to support the democratic forces of the country in order to maintain the supremacy of the constitution and sustain democracy.
