Qadri spoke on Gita: Hindustan Times

Tehrik Minhajul Quran chief Dr Tahirul Qadri made a two-hour speech in February 2012 on the essence of Gita and Quran during his visit to Indian Gujrat as state guest of the Narendra Modi who is blamed of turning blind eye to riots that killed Muslims in 2002, Hindustan Times reported.
Qadri had advised Gujrati Muslims to shed their sense of victimhood while Jamiatul Ulema had accused Qadri of “praising the killer of Muslims” and “calling Muslims terrorists”.
Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, a BJP leader, had dubbed Qadri of advocating harmony and denouncing Jihadi extremism.
Qadri had to finally clarify that events like riots should not repeat and perpetrators should be brought to the book.
