‘Principles of good governance squashed’

Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazharul Haq has taken serious notice of the posting of a grade-18 junior officer namely Qasim Baloch as Karachi Director Schools, said an official statement on Wednesday. According to details, the senior minister had dispatched a summary to the Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah, stating that the post of Karachi Director Schools was meant to be occupied by a grade-20 officer. He said that assigning a junior officer to the post that was against the principles of good governance. The education minister also directed Education and Literacy Department Secretary Fazlullah Pechuho to prepare a summary for the CM to appoint a senior officer of grade-20 for the post in question.
