The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of petitions against Asim Malik, allegedly involved in swindling money from people on account of sending them abroad, till January 21 and sought a report from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi heard over 125 petitions against the accused Asim Malik, owner of Future Concern (Pvt) Limited. APP
During the course of the proceedings, Additional Attorney General Abul Hai Gilani said that a report regarding steps for Asim’s arrest and assists had been prepared but was unsigned by FIA director general due to current political situation in Islamabad. He pleaded the court to allow more time for filing the report.
The court after hearing the arguments adjourned the matter till January 21.
The petitioners, through their petition, submitted that Asim Malik had swindled millions of rupees from people on the pretext of sending them abroad. The petitioners claimed that Asim had not met his end of the bargain and had failed to return the money.
