Academic activities and studies of students of the capital city are being affected due to closure of all educational institutions on account of long march led by Dr Tahirul Qadri.
Federal Directorate of Education said that the decision of closure of schools had been taken as a security measure. Pakistan Private Schools Association President Abrar Ahmad said that all private schools in the twin cities would also remain closed.
Universities also postponed examinations in the capital and many students reacted to the postponement with contempt.
Moreover, the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) scheduled class 5 Examination on February 1 wheras the same of class 8 was scheduled for February 7.
