JI rejects Qadri’s invitation of joining the march

Jamaat e Islami (JI) rejected the invitation of Tehreek Minhaj ul Quran‚ Dr Tahir ul Qadri to join the ongoing sit in in Islamabad. JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch told sources that it is the time for general elections‚ and his party will not let anyone to derail the democratic process.

Meanwhile security in front of Parliament House has been beefed up by placing more containers at D-Chowk. Area surrounding the containers was mudded to thwart any attempts of the protestors to remove the containers. Additional contingents of security personnel were also deployed.
Per details, a number of protesters including women are carrying canes in their hands to deal with any unfavorable situation. They have also been guarding the area in the nighttime. Pick pocketing incidences were also reported to be occurring. Hafiz Shabir, a resident of Hafiz Abad said he had been deprived of sum of Rs 7000 in pick pocketing incident during the sit in. Anwar Ali said that he found out that his wallet had been stolem when went to a restaurant for break fast. One Fatima Bibi said that she had a total sum of Rs 3000 and someone had stolen it from her pocket. She said that “we are not left with even a single penny as we have been deprived of all our money during the incidents of pick pocketing. The criminals even don’t spare this religious gathering”
