Indian army chief General Bikram Singh Wednesday visited the home of Lance Naik Hemraj who was allegedly killed by Pakistani troops near the Line of Control in Kashmir last week.
Speaking to reporters, General Singh said the Pakistan army should be pressurized to return Hemraj’s head.
“I think we should pressurise them nationally and internationally as part of our national element so that they are made accountable and they are made to return the head of our soldier which they have taken away”, he was quoted as saying by PTI
“It will be taken up at the government level and you will have to appreciate that this has to be done through diplomatic channels,” he had said.
Lance Naik Hemraj’s family had gone on a six-day fast demanding that his head be brought back from Pakistan. His wife and mother had refused to end their fast demanding that the Army Chief must visit their house and assure them that his severed head will be brought back.
Lance Naiks Hemraj and Sudhakar Singh were allegedly killed by Pakistani troops on January 8 in Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir. Hemraj’s body was allegedly beheaded; the body of the other soldier was also allegedly mutilated.

  1. How about Kashmiri people start going on fast once per month till Indian occupation army leaves Kashmir? We have to raise the conscious of India which is under general anesthesia since 1948. That was the yr the resolution was passed for plebiscite in UNO.

  2. Both Indian and Pakistani armies are civilised and well led armies. To accuse the latter of this heinious act speaks more of the former's mindset than the pakistanis. Beheading has never been condoned by any one. Let us get facts first before we start finger pointing. The COAS of India is playing to the gallery.

  3. Please return the head to Mr Bikram Singh.
I was looking at his picture. He has this long strip of medals over the left side of his upper chest. Is this normal? Or he has to have this burden over his chest all the time in addition to his day to day responsibilities? No wonder he looks so tired and exhausted .Can somebody help the general from Pakistani side. This is Inhumane treatment of Indian General.I am protesting against it.
Where was I. Yes I was trying to get the head back to Indian General. I am requesting again ,,please return the head.I am trying my non diplomatic public channel. Hopefully I might be success ful.

    • Anatomically speaking it is there but the contents have been spilled across the border. The search is continuing—-watch for the breaking news!

  4. Both countries must hold their peace and abstract from provocation which will lead to a massive catastrophy and distruction as both are having nuclear power. So needs to handle all the issues through dialogue. To begin war is nothing but must think the future espcially in this current cituation of the world .

  5. Crazy Army chief.. what we will do with the dirty head??? And Pak Army will not do such a thing i believe. This work is of some miscreant who do not want peace between
    the two sides

  6. Does Pakistan have a decent auto Industry OR software / tech Industry OR Banking & Finance sector OR Tourism sector OR Export sector OR Space Industry OR even a film industry? Does Pakistan have a stable democracy OR a robust economy or interest from Foreign Investors? Does a Pakistani billionaire even feature in Top 1000 Billionaires List?

The answer to all the above is No. Then why do Pakistani’s gloat about themselves as being great when their country has achieved nothing in the past 50 years? The only export sector which Pakistan has is terrorism. Every educated & Moderate Pakistani now understands that their country was used as a “Gun 4 Hire” by USA & GCC Countries. Pakistan has been left out to dry after being used and abused by the USA & GCC Countries. Stop depending on USA & GCC for funds. Don’t kill your own for US Dollars.

Please stand up on your own. Think what you want to build rather than destroying what others have built.

  7. hats off to asif….nd my pakistani counterparts aftr seein eariers comments jst one sincere advise try to make ur home heaven rather nd supporting the radical grps of ur country to make our home hell….der is no hatred fr common pakistani ppl in our heart but we certainly hate the radical ppl of ur syd which i think u should hate too…thank u may almighty give peace nd progress to both countries!! AMEN:)

    • I some what agree with you ajay but don't forget the hindu terrorists, they are just as bad but none of the Indians ever mention them.Truth always has 2 sides to it like anything else.

  8. Such a shameful ordeal for Pakistan. Those who did know well how to create tension on two sides of border. This is some kind of tip of iceberg and Pakistan army should response in some responsible way so that further tension not escalate.Every soldier knows that what martyrs are meant for any army and how they should be honored.

  9. Indian army chief must understand one thing very clearly that muslims treat prisoner of wars with respect and dignity. Pakistan army is known to have helped Indian captured soldiers and provided them medical treatment to wounded.
Such acts are against our culture, therefore Indian army chief should desist in accusing pakistan army of an act never committed by their soldiers. Indian army chief is well advised to ponder over the statement of their Home Minister who has acknowledged that India is responsible for terrorists attacks and puts blame on Pakistan

    • For last 10 years Pakistan has got fame in receiving beheaded bodies, head chopping videos, human butchering photo shoots etc so demand of Indian chief is relevant to our repute .
