After completion of the first phase of house-counting‚ the second phase of the voters’ verification process started in Karachi on Tuesday. The overall process‚ which began on the 10th of this month on the orders of Supreme Court (SC) is scheduled to be completed till the first of next month. Provincial Election Commissioner Muhammad Najeeb told media that there were total 6,926,301 registered voters in the city. “The election commission has appointed a total staff of 14,718 to verify electoral rolls”, he said.
