Security alert for Rabiul Awwal

A meeting was held to review security arrangements for rallies, religious gatherings and other programmes in the district central during the month of Rabiul Awal here at the office of the District Central Deputy Commissioner Dr Syed Saifur Rehman on Monday.
Chaired by Dr Syed, the meeting was attended among others by the officials of Pakistan Rangers, police, Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and other relevant departments. Dr Syed had bound the officials of police, KESC, Water Board, and district central assistant commissioners to ensure provision of fool-proof security, pure and clean water, proper sewerage facilities, minimum disruption in power supply and no load-shedding during the times when religious programmes and rallies were taking place in the area. Traffic flow management would be reasonable so that participants could take part in rallies and religious programmes with enthusiasm and without any fear. KESC, Water Board and other related departments had been directed to assure 24 hour presence of their representatives in the control room located in the Office of District Central Karachi Deputy Commissioner. The meeting was attended by Rangers’ senior officers, Police officers of district central, additional deputy commissioners, all assistant commissioners of district central, officials of KESC, officials of Water Board, religious leaders and persons related with organising rallies and religious gatherings.
