Conflicting reports regarding the resignation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Fasih Bokhari are making rounds in the media.
Per reports, Mr Bokhari was summoned to Bilawal House on Tuesday evening following the Supreme Court’s directions to arrest all 16 accused in the Rental Power Plants case, including Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
According to BBC, Bokhari had resigned from his position but some TV channels quoted Bokhari as saying that he had not resigned from his position nor does he intend to step down any time soon.
According to a private TV channel, Bokhari said that NAB would implement the SC’s decision in the RPP case in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile, police and NAB authorities have conducted raids on the residences of four former federal secretaries including, Salman Siddique, Shahid Rafi, Ismail Qureshi and Khalid Saeed.
