Conflicting reports regarding the resignation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Fasih Bokhari are making rounds in the media.
Per reports, Mr Bokhari was summoned to Bilawal House on Tuesday evening following the Supreme Court’s directions to arrest all 16 accused in the Rental Power Plants case, including Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
According to BBC, Bokhari had resigned from his position but some TV channels quoted Bokhari as saying that he had not resigned from his position nor does he intend to step down any time soon.
According to a private TV channel, Bokhari said that NAB would implement the SC’s decision in the RPP case in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile, police and NAB authorities have conducted raids on the residences of four former federal secretaries including, Salman Siddique, Shahid Rafi, Ismail Qureshi and Khalid Saeed.
If Bokhari shows enough courage to follow courts orders, he'll become another idol for the worshippers of change. If not, we've never been short of such cowards so far. However, this is a superficial judgement only. We are not supposed to know what is really going on inside. Sometimes, even judiciary seems to be a toy in the hands of some melicious invisible powers. Anyways,
ہو رہے گا کچھ نہ کچھ، گھبرائیں کیا؟
Come to London, MQM is here!
No come to Canada. Mr Qadri used to live here. He has gone on vacation to Pakistan.
Salman Siddiq is staying at Gymkhana Club guest rooms, a club whose members elected him as Chairman.
Bukhari will not resign. The position pays million(legal and illegal) and if convicted of corruption, the fines are only a few thousand rupees
Good inside information. Thanks. Please keep it up.
I am praying for Pakistan
