Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Saturday that no political party or common people would support Dr Tahirul Qadri’s long march as it has no agenda nor will it bring in any benefits. “I can’t comprehend why people and political parties would lend support to the long march as it has no agenda nor will it yield any result,” he said while talking to media men at the airport.
He further said that Tahirul Qadri was certainly under some delusion if he thought that madrassa bred people could bring about a revolution, while adding that the entire country including Karachi was facing the threat of terrorism at present. Responding to a question he said, “We take the name of Rehman Baba with great respect and what he says is coming from him alone.”
