The city police has been trying to nab a ‘spiritual healer’, who tried to rape a woman calling it an essential part of her ‘healing’ process. Sonia told the police that she had gone to a spiritual healer, Aamil Sajjad Baba, for an amulet (taweez) at his ‘dera’ in Ali Pur, a suburb of the capital. She said that when she shared her disease with the Baba, he demanded one black goat and Rs 70,000 against the remedy she wanted. She said that she told the Baba of her disease, and he demanded a black goat and Rs 70,000 to cure her of her illness. Sonia said that she had followed the Baba’s orders and gave the sum and goat to him. After a few days, when she felt no change in her condition, she approached the Baba. According to Sonia, the Baba called her to his private room, where she found him nude. The fraudster tried to grab her and said the intercourse was part of her healing process. Sonia said she had managed to flee the room and later approached the Shehzad Town Police to register an FIR against that ‘holy’ man. The police registered an FIR under section 354/320 and began investigation, but the Baba hasn’t been apprehended yet.
Stupidity at its highest mark.arrest this guy and put him in solitary confinement for rest of his life. Confiscate his properties and assets if he has any.
