The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two fraudsters and recovered fake currency worth Rs 9,89,000 from them, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
CID SP Yahya Hussain Virk and his team conducted a raid near the Shehzad Town Police Station and arrested Jamshed Khan and Khaista Khan for carrying fake currency worth Rs 9,89,000. IGP Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yaseen Farooq have appreciated the team’s performance and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for them.
