A man was killed and two others sustained injuries in a car blast at Rashid Minhas Road here on late Wednesday night.
According to police, the blast took place in a vehicle parked at a filling station when explosives placed at the backside of vehicles exploded with big bang.
The vehicle was destroyed completely due to the blast resulting in death of one person and injuring two others.
The body and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal-formalities.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
According to bomb disposal squad, the explosive material was placed at the backside of vehicle. The number plate of the vehicle was said to be fake.
The blast created panic among the residents of the area.
