Private News channel anchor person Hamid Mir on Thursday said that the Supreme Court would announce the Media Commission on January 15.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court building, Hamid Mir said that names of Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid and Javed Jabbar have been recommended for the commission.He said that the apex court rejected the plea regarding restoration of information ministry’s frozen funds. He said that the court will also decide regarding code of conduct for media and secret funds.
Mir expressed hope that code of conduct would be obtained before forthcoming general elections. Names of those involved in corruption should be revealed, he added.
