Pakistan Secretary Foreign Affairs Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Pakistan had reservations regarding granting India the most favored nation status.
Talking to newsmen he said that ministerial talks on the issue would be held between the two countries shortly. He said the federal cabinet has decreed to grant the most favored nation status to India. Replying to a question he said that the “Kashmir issue cannot be overlooked”.
Commenting on the Indian allegations that Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire Line of control‚ he said that “Pakistan proposes an independent inquiry into the incident”.
