Islamabad police to ensure protection of citizens rights: IGP

The best possible work environment will be provided to the Islamabad Police, so they can perform their duties in a responsible and dignified manner. This was stated by Inspector General (IGP) Bani Amin Khan while inaugurating the Welfare Shop and the Digital Service Card system for the police, police training school and forensic science laboratory at the Police Line Headquarters. Headquarters DIG Sultan Azam Temuri, SSP Yousuf Malik, PTS DSP Bakhtiar Ahmed and other police officials were also present on the occasion.
The Islamabad police have started different welfare projects for employees including a welfare shop and a digital service card system for policemen.
Amin directed the construction of wash rooms and other facilities in the accommodation barracks of police employees and said that several welfare projects had been started for the children of policemen.
The IGP said low-ranking officials were the backbone of any force and the Islamabad Police would make every effort to strengthen its cops.
This will help them perform duties in an effective manner and so they can play a leading role in ensuring the protection of the lives and property.
He said that he had accorded priority to boost the confidence of lowers cadres, especially constables, as they braved challenging circumstances to uphold the law and order. The IGP urged other police officials to listen to their problems and pay special attention to resolve them.
He expressed satisfaction over zero corruption at police pickets and checking points and said that corruption would be eliminated completely from police stations too.
