Pakistan on Wednesday rejected the Indian claim that its border forces killed two Indian soldiers in a cross-border attack in Mendhar sector of the Poonch district.
Pakistani military officials have dubbed the Indian claim as propaganda and an attempt to cover their attack on a Pakistani checkpost which had martyred two soldiers and injured two others. The official reports said the Indian authorities were informed that Pakistan had carried out ground verification and found nothing about the incident alleged by India.
Earlier on Wednesday, India had claimed that two of its soldiers were killed and their bodies were mutilated, terming the attack ‘inhumane’ and ‘provocative’.
