The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was accused of influencing the jury to award ‘Man of the Match’ to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the third One Day International between Pakistan and India, Indian media reported.
According to Headlines Today, a call was made by a highly placed official inside BCCI to an influential commentator to instruct him to reserve the award for Dhoni.
Dhoni only managed to score 36 runs and had a very disappointing performance in the field giving a lot of extras.
Other contenders for the title included Ravindra Jadeja, Shami Ahmed and Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal all of whom performed much better than the Indian skipper.
According to sources, the Pakistani team has lodged an unofficial complaint.

  1. Saeed Ajmal with performance of 24/5 was much deserving than anyone for that match. But what do you expect from India, special when dealing with Pakistan.
