13 die unnatural deaths and many others pronounced critical as ill fate reigns on Wednesday

Road accidents, fire and dacoits claimed lives of 13 citizens and injured dozens on Wednesday morning.
Three persons were burnt when fire engulfed a shopping centre of Faisalabad. Per details, fire was caused by an electric short circuit in the basement of the shopping centre located at ‘D’ Ground. Fire fighters and rescue personnel reached the scene and rescue efforts are underway. The fire also gutted garments, goods and other merchandize worth millions of rupees.
The driver of a Toyota Hiace was also burnt to death while two others sustained burn injuries when the vehicle’s CNG cylinder burst at Millat Chowk on Sheikhupura -Faisalabad road. Resuce teams shifted the deceased and the injured to Allied Hospital. The condition of the injured was pronounced as ‘critical’ and the scorched driver was identified as Muhammad Naeem.
Meanwhile three persons were killed when armed men opened fire at a car to settle an old enmity at Chak Thalahi, Khurrianwala, Faisalabad. All the passengers died on the spot and their bodies were shifted to a local hospital to fulfill medico legal formalities. The murderers escaped after the crime and police registered an FIR against those nominated by the kin of the deceased. Police has started conducting raids for their arrests.
Moreover, Dacoits killed a woman in Shikarpur’s, Khanpur police station’s jurisdiction. The woman was shot dead for resisting the dacoits from looting the passenger bus she had boarded. The dacoits robbed cash, jewelry and mobile phones from passengers and fled after the crime. Police shifted the woman’s body to Civil Hospital. The ill-fated coach was plying from Punjab to Karachi and dacoits broke into it at National Highway near Khanpur.
At least three persons were killed and seven others injured when a passenger jeep plunged into a ravine in Kotli area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Per details, the jeep was heading towards Tatta Pani from Androot area of Kotli, when it slipped off the road and fell into a gorge. Three passengers lost their lives as a result and seven others sustained injuries. The bodies and the injured were shifted to a local hospital by locals. The injured passengers told that the accident took place due to slippery road conditions and careless driving.
Meanwhile in Lahore, a police constable and a woman were killed in two different road accidents on Tuesday night. The deceased policeman was identified as Constable Muhammad Azam, whose motorcycle was run over by Akhtar’s; an employee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), car. AKhtar was driving drunk on jail road and rammed into Azam when he was plying to Walton Road from Rang Mahal police station. Jail road police arrested Akhtar and an FIR was lodged against him. Moreover, Shakeela; a resident of Nishtar colony was run over by a passenger bus near Saroba Attari darbar. She was rushed to General Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
