The United States has expressed concern over unprovoked firing by Indian troops on a Pakistani post along the Line of Control in Kashmir in which one Pakistani soldier embraced martyrdom.
Briefing the journalists in Washington, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that the US is concerned about reports of violence along the Line of Control in Kashmir and asked both sides to show patience.
She was responding to a question about weekend Indian and Pakistani exchange of fire on the Line of Control in Kashmir and Islamabad’s lodging a protest with New Delhi over killing of a Pakistani soldier.
‘We have consistently supported attempts between India and Pakistan to find a positive way forward between them and to work on issues of Kashmir. We are concerned about any reports of violence along the Line of Control in Kashmir. We urge both sides to take steps to end exchanges of fire and to resume normal trade and travel across the Line of Control,” she said.
She also urged the two sides to resume normal trade and travel across the Line of Control in the disputed Himalayan territory.

  1. US is concerned almost about everything that happens anywhere around the globe it is becoming increasingly irritating. US people are also suffering because of their administration's obsession with policing around in the world. They should better take stock of internal issues facing them. Violence one amongst such issues. It has become a routine that an american psycho kills dozens of fellow citizens every now and then. Their financial cliffs are becoming steeper and steeper. They face defeat and humiliation in Afghanistan. Things are not that rosy for them either. We can also give them some advice.
