PMNH celebrates 25 years of Montreal Protocol

The Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH) organised an art competition and exhibition to celebrate 25 years of the Montreal Protocol.
Students from the twin cities and remote areas participated in the competition based on the theme “Ozone is our Friend”. The PMNH displayed their drawing sketches at an art exhibition and distributed prizes among winners.
The PMNH organised the event in collaboration with the Ozone Cell, Ministry of Climate Change and Funkor.
PMNH Senior Operational Manager Akhter Javed was the chief guest and Ozone Cell Manager Asif and Funkor Director Fozia Minallah were also present on the occasion.
The art competition was held to create awareness among students about the rapid depletion of the Ozone layer. Winners of the competition were invited along with their representative teachers.
Javed appreciated the students’ efforts in depicting threats to the ozone layer in their art work.
He said students are the future of the country and they should make efforts to save the earth from threats posed to it due to the rapid depletion of the ozone layer which protects the earth from harmful rays of the sun. He inaugurated the exhibition and distributed prizes and shields among position holders.
