When most people head to court, they hope for Lady Luck to be on their side. Well, Lindsay Lohan’s got Lady Fortune. The embattled starlet was not present in New York court this morning, but her attorney did show up for the latest round in her misdemeanor assault case, stemming from a nightclub bust-up on Nov. 29, and said that he believed his client—who was not required to and thus did not show up in court—would ultimately be cleared of the charges. And he was backed by a pretty potent power: a psychic fortune teller. “It may very well be this case does not move forward…ironically a psychic fortune teller has predicted the year 2013 will be an extremely lucky year for Lindsay Lohan,” her attorney Mark Heller told reporters before leaving court. As it happens, it was an extremely short trip to court, as Heller did not even go before a judge, rather into a private room in the courthouse. No criminal complaint has yet been drawn up and no accusatory document prepared (thus no need for LiLo), but Heller’s presence was required to sign some paperwork pertaining to the case. The Liz and Dick star is accused of hitting Tiffany Mitchell at Avenue nightclub the night of November 29, where she was hanging with the Wanted, and was arrested the same night. Her lawyer has long maintained her innocence.

  1. One good thing about being a lawyer for someone like Lindsay Lohan is that you will never run out of work. All the trouble she gets into more than guarantees that there will always be cases to oversee and the cash keeps rolling in.
